Family Law Deepak has appeared at all levels in private family law proceedings from county courts to the House of Lords.
He advises and acts in all areas of matrimonial finance and private law children proceedings. He is also junior counsel in the landmark matrimonial finance case of McFarlane v McFarlane which examines how future surplus income is to be divided between parties.
In addition, he is increasingly instructed in family law cases involving complex questions of law, which have included landlord and tenant, bankruptcy, trusts and related restitution issues. He has also been instructed in a number of cases which have had an international dimension. These have included not only jurisdictional disputes under the Brussels Regime but also enforcement proceedings in relation to foreign orders.
Common Law He has undertaken a wide range of civil work including licensing, landlord and tenant, solicitors’ negligence and wasted costs.
Deepak also has a background in criminal law and has undertaken both prosecution and defence work.
