She is frequently instructed in complicated fact-finding hearings, both for the party raising allegations of harm, and equally for the party seeking to challenge such allegations.

Emma has experience representing vulnerable parties, including those with additional needs. Her work often involves cases with the separate representation of children.

Emma’s caseload often comprises an international element, including applications concerning travel to non-Hague Convention countries, and applications seeking (or opposing) international relocation.

Reported Cases

Re T (Fact-Finding) [2024] EWFC 446 (B): Emma recently represented the Applicant Father in fact-finding proceedings concerning allegations of child physical/sexual abuse. No findings of abuse were made against the father, with findings made against the Maternal Grandmother.

Emma is available to instruct in all stages of child abduction work, including ex parte hearings. She has experience appearing in applications in relation to Forced Marriage Protection Orders.
