Lewis joined the team in April 2017 and he has quickly become an integral member of the clerks’ room. Prior to joining chambers, he worked at two family law specialist sets, which gave him the opportunity to gain invaluable experience within family law.
Lewis is responsible for the diary management and practice development of all members of chambers. He regularly fixes hearings at all court levels, including the Supreme Court. He assists with managing the practices of chambers’ members and plays a huge role in the development of their careers. Lewis is also responsible for providing fee estimates and finalising fee agreements. He has an extensive knowledge of the members’ practices and prides himself in finding the right barrister for the right case.
Lewis is direct access trained. He appreciates that it can be a stressful experience for clients and he is always happy to manage cases closely in order to put the client at ease.
He is currently studying part-time at the Open University. He is studying Business Management and he believes that it will stand him in good stead with his current role at 1KBW, as well as helping him achieve his own personal ambitions for the future.
Lewis is a member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks.
