Mark Betts

Mark was appointed Senior Clerk in March 2025. He has considerable experience within chambers having joined 1KBW in 2000, where he started as the Junior Clerk. Mark is therefore able to use his exceptional knowledge of chambers and its barristers’ practices to assist clients in their specific requirements. In Mark’s position as Senior Clerk, he oversees all 1KBW’s practice management and business development.

Mark completed the ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in April 2018.

Mark is a member of the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks and served on the IBC Junior Clerks Committee between 2011 – 2015, chairing the same from 2014. Mark is also a member of Resolution.
