We were very pleased to host a full house – almost 300 clients – at our inaugural full-day 360º Family Law Conference at the Royal College of Surgeons, Lincoln’s Inn on 21st September 2023.
There was a full programme of sessions exploring a broad range of family law topics, with delegates being invited to select those they wish to attend in advance. Topics included financial remedies, private and public children law, costs, experts, jurisdiction, publicity and ADR. 33 members of 1KBW were speaking on the day with many other attending for lunch and the evening drinks reception.
We were delighted to have such an outstanding selection of guest speakers for our panel sessions. We welcomed Sir Andrew McFarlane, Lady Hale, His Honour Judge Hess, Mrs Justice Arbuthnot, Heather Rogers KC, Sarah Palin and Catherine Baksi, all of whom made a fantastic contribution.
It was also excellent to be able to use the event to raise funds for two very important legal charities, Advocate and Support Through Court, and also to provide them with a platform to promote their work.
