1 King’s Bench Walk is delighted to announce that Elle Tait and Emma Wilson have both been offered tenancies following successful completion of their pupillages at 1KBW in October 2019.

Elle Tait

Call: 2018

Elle is currently undertaking her second six under the supervision of Stephen Jarmain and is available for instruction in all areas of family law. In her first six months of pupillage, she was supervised by Jennifer Perrins and Richard Castle.

She witnessed and assisted with cases in all aspects of family law, including complex matrimonial finance cases, child abduction matters and private children work.​


Emma Wilson

Call: 2017

Emma is currently undertaking the practising part of her pupillage and accepts instructions in all areas of family law. She is currently under the supervision of Jennifer Perrins. During her first six months of pupillage, Emma was supervised by Richard Castle and Stephen Jarmain.

Prior to joining chambers, Emma was a paralegal at a top London family law firm. She managed a busy caseload and gained experience in multiple areas of family law including matrimonial finance, private law children and international child abduction proceedings.

1 King’s Bench Walk set to open on Monday 6 July 2020

1KBW is pleased to announce that, following a stringent risk-assessment, we will begin the process of reopening chambers from 6th July 2020. A series of measures are now in place to ensure the safety of all staff, members and visitors. We have been successfully working remotely during lockdown period and a number of staff and members will continue to do so to ensure social distancing measures are kept in place, as per government guidance.


We continue to request that all client meetings be conducted virtually, where possible. We are fully equipped to carry on with client conferences via telephone or video link, on any preferred platform. Should you require to come in to chambers for a meeting, please contact a member of the clerking team to make arrangements.
